چکیده

This paperpresent~ an alternative modeling and simulation method for CMOS bridging faults. The significance of the method is the introduction of a set of unique-bridge tables which characterize the bridged outputs for each bridge and a set of unique-cell tables which characterize how each cell interprets an analog input. These two sets of tables are derived dynamically for a specific design by using a SPICE circuit simulator first. Then they can later be used by any logic fault simulator to simulate bridging faults. In this way, the proposed method can perform very fast bridging fault simulation and yet with SPICE accuracy. The paper shows how these two sets of tables are derived and used in a parallel pattern fault simulator. Experimental results on ISCASR5 benchmarks are promising. keywords: defect, bridging fault, fault modeling, testing, fault simulation Addresss of the authors: Section of Design of Electronic Systems(ES) Faculty of Electrical Engineering Eindhoven University of Technology P.O. GOLDENGATE: a fast and accurate bridging fault simulator under a hybrid logic/IDDQ testing environment

In this paper we describe GOLDENGATE a bridging fault simulator for cell-based digital VLSI circuits with the following features: 1. It targets both combinational and sequential circuits. 2. It simulates general (routing, adjacency, and intra-cell) realistic bridging faults e ciently through a table-based scheme. The pre-computed table contains accurate cell output voltage and IDDQ values obtai...

Accurate Fault Modeling and Fault Simulation of Resistive Bridges

This paper presents accurate fault models, an accurate fault simulation technique, and a new fault coverage metric for resistive bridging faults in gate level combinational circuits at nominal and reduced power supply voltages. We demonstrate that some faults have unusual behavior, which has been observed in practice. On the ISCAS85 benchmark circuits we show that a zero-ohm bridge fault model ...

A New Fast and Accurate Fault Location and Classification Method on MTDC Microgrids Using Current Injection Technique, Traveling-Waves, Online Wavelet, and Mathematical Morphology

In this paper, a new fast and accurate method for fault detection, location, and classification on multi-terminal DC (MTDC) distribution networks connected to renewable energy and energy storages presented. MTDC networks develop due to some issues such as DC resources and loads expanding, and try to the power quality increasing. It is important to recognize the fault type and location in order ...

A Comprehensive Mathematical Model for Analysis of WR-Resolvers under Stator Short Circuit Fault

Wound-Rotor (WR) resolvers are the most widely used position sensors in applications with harsh environmental conditions. However, their performance is exposed to failure due to the high risk of short circuit (SC) fault. Although the output current of the resolver is negligible, its thin copper wires increase the probability of the short circuit fault. To avoid the propagation of the turn-to-tu...
